Introduction
The amateur sports association VDA TRAILERS Limited Liability Company organizes the TORX® Academy.
Description
The TORX® Academy is a fully customized educational program, developed in collaboration with Franco Collé (4-time winner of TOR330 - Tor des Géants®) and a team of professionals and experts, aimed at providing high-level theoretical and practical training to all participating trail runners.
The program includes aptitude tests, individual coaching sessions, the development of personalized training schedules for each participant, a collective training day, 12 theoretical sessions (covering topics such as training, nutrition, mental preparation, GPS device usage, injury prevention, race regulations), and a two-day excursion on the TOR330 route.
Conditions for registration
All individuals, both men and women, who have reached the age of 20 at the time of registration, are eligible to apply.
Admission to the TORX® Academy is subject to the outcome of the aptitude tests, which will be conducted on April 20th and 21st, 2024, and the submission of a sports medical certificate (included in the program).
Registration fee
The registration fee for the TORX® Academy program is €1200.00
The registration fee covers all the services described below:
- Aptitude tests
- Collective training day with exercise demonstrations
- Sports medical certificate
- Personalized training tables from May to September
- Personalized consultations
- Weekly technical lessons via web or in person
- Kailas clothing and equipment kit
- Enervit integration kit
- Weekend training on a stage of the TOR (including dinner, overnight stay in a refuge, pocket lunch, buffet upon arrival, and transportation for return)
- ASI and ASC insurance card
Registration procedure
To access pre-registration, registration on the website 100x100trail.com, owned by VDA Trailers, is required. It is advisable to register on the website before the opening of registrations. Users who are already registered must update their data before the opening of registrations; afterward, it will no longer be possible to do so. In case of a forgotten password, a new one must be requested without creating a second profile. Only one profile per person is allowed. Creating a second profile will result in the cancellation of any priority. Registration on the 100x100trail.com portal involves the declaration of personal data. Providing false information in Italy is a criminal offense.
Registrations can be made from March 20, 2024, to April 10, 2024, by paying the fee.
Once the payment is made and confirmed by the online interbank payment service, the registration will be recorded as completed in the Organization's database, and the name will be displayed on the list of registrants.
A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at the time of registration.
Only registrations whose payment has been successfully processed and confirmed by the international credit card payment system will be considered valid. The Organization disclaims any responsibility regarding the acceptance of online payments.
Number of places and Waiting List
There are 30 available seats. In case the requests exceed the available seats, a waiting list will be created.
Release Form
Every runner must sign a release form in which they declare to be aware of the challenges of the program they will face and commit to bringing all the necessary equipment to safely undertake the training sessions.
The release form can be accessed in the personal profile section on the website 100x100trail.com and must be completed online no later than April 15, 2024.
Refund of registration fees
VDA TRAILERS SSDrl is a non-profit organization, and the proceeds from its social activities are reinvested in sports activities. Managing amateur sports events organized by the same entails numerous activities and the use of resources characterized by fixed costs (salaries, lease fees for premises and warehouses, equipment maintenance, service fees and utilities, subscriptions to external services such as communication services, logistical expenses, etc.). This means that refunds of registration fees already paid are possible only within the limits and in the cases specifically specified below:
- In case of sports ineligibility: the registration fee paid will be refunded net of the costs incurred for the tests: €90.00 for functional tests + €60.00 for the sports medical certificate.
- For serious and proven unforeseeable health or personal reasons communicated before the start of the courses: 50% of the registration fee paid will be refunded.
To request a refund, it is necessary to send an email to the address [email protected]. Requests received after April 21, 2024, will not be refunded.
Insurance
The organization subscribes to liability insurance for the entire duration of the event. Participation is entirely at the competitors' own risk, and they waive any recourse against the organizers in the event of damage and any further consequences arising from the race.
At the time of online registration to complete the process, the runner signs a liability waiver.
The organization takes care of affiliating each participant with ASI (Associazioni Sportive Italiane), thereby ensuring accident insurance coverage for everyone (read all the details at https://www.asinazionale.it/affiliazione/#assicurazioni - "TESSERA B").
It is strongly recommended that each runner take out personal accident insurance for the competition, covering medical expenses and helicopter rescue costs.
ITRA (International Trail Running Association) has developed specific insurance for trail running, designed to meet the needs of a trail runner in difficulty during a race (read all the details at https://itra.run/Runners/AboutInsurance).
Route modifications
In the event of extreme and prohibitive conditions that endanger the safety of participants, the organization reserves the right to modify or eliminate sections of the training weekend route on August 10th and 11th along the TORX trails, using alternative routes.
Image rights
Each participant expressly waives the image rights or authorizes the organization and its partners to use, free of charge and without limitations, images, photos, or videos depicting them during the event.
It is strictly prohibited to distribute, through any means (web, social networks, TV, newspapers, magazines, etc.), for commercial purposes, images (videos or photos) taken during the event without written authorization from the Organization.
TORX®, TOR®, Tor des Géants®, Tor des Glaciers™, Passage au Malatrà™, Tot Dret™, TOR450™, TOR330™, TOR130™, TOR100™, TOR30™ are trademarks owned or exclusively used by VDA Trailers. All communications regarding the event or the use of its images must be done in compliance with the event name and registered trademarks, subject to agreement with the Organization.
Privacy
With registration, the runner declares acceptance of all points of this regulation and the Privacy Policy, which can be viewed here.
Acceptance of regulation and race ethics
Participation in the TORX® Academy implies the unconditional acceptance of this regulation, published and consultable on academy.torxtrail.com.

IMPORTANT: The original version of the document is drafted in Italian. In case of inconsistencies or discrepancies with versions in other languages, the Italian version shall prevail over others.
